Machine Readable Passport Services
The Mission has a fully functional Machine-Readable Passport Office which provides all types of Passport Services including renewal of passport and issuance of new Machine Readable Passports
Apply at the Embassy
To apply for a Machine Readable Passport at the Mission
Required Documents
- Valid CNIC, NICOP, Smart CNIC or Smart NICOP (Original & Copy)
- Passport (Original & Copy)
- Iqama/Resident Permit (Copy)

In addition to above documents the applicants have to provide following:
- Original Children Registration Certificate or NICOP or Smart Card Issued by NADRA.
- Original and copies of CNICs/Passport of father and mother.
- The applicant will be accompanied by either of his/ her parents or legal guardian
- In case of single Parent, original and copy of CNIC/Passport of father or mother/ guardian / along with guardianship certificate issued by the competent Court of Law and applicant will be accompanied by either of his/ her parents or legal guardian. Moreover guardianship certificate/ custody decree issued by the (competent Court of Law of the host Government) is acceptable for issuance of passport of his/ her minor by the guardian.

- Please note that children of 10 years of age and above holding CRC issued from NADRA are required to obtain juvenile card to proçess passport application.

In addition to above documents the applicants have to provide following:
- No-Objection Certificate (NOC) in case he/ she is working as Government Officer/ Official, Armed forces Officers/ employee of Semi Government/ Autonomous Bodies/ Corporation. The acceptance of NOC will be subject to confirmation/ verification of the NOC by the issuing authority/ department concerned.
- Valid CNIC, NICOP, Smart CNIC or Smart NICOP (Original & Copy)
- Passport (Original & Copy)
- Iqama/Resident Permit (Copy)
In addition to above documents the applicants have to provide following:
- Approval letter from Directorate General of Immigration & Passports.
- Advance appointment from MRP Section for processing of Official Passport.
Fees for MRP Services
- Fee payment in Cash.
- Holders of FERC are required to produce valid card (Original & Copy) for fee exemption.

Passports Blocked in Processing
A passport application is gone through different checks and verification processes. In case of non verification of data, picture or any system verification issue, a passport applicant may be required to visit Embassy again to resolve the matter through a defined procedure.
Apply Online
To apply for a Machine Readable Passport Online
Note:
Online portal is only for renewal of Machine Readable Passport. Following categories of passports cannot be applied through Online Portal.
1. New:
Issuance of Machine Readable Passport first time.
2. Modification:
In case applicants wants any changes in existing Machine Readable Passport i.e. name, father name, husband name, date of birth, caste, profession, dual nationality, marital status, religion and official to ordinary
3. Reprint Exhaust:
In case applicant wants a new passport as all pages of previous passport utilized due to several visas/ frequent travelling.
4. Loss of Passport:
In case applicant’s existing passport has been lost (misplaced and not in his possession) and he wants a new passport.
In the above cases, the passport applicants are requested to approach nearest Pakistan Embassy/ High Commission/ Consulate General where MRP facility is available
Apply as a Government Employee
To apply for a Machine Readable Passport, if the applicant is an employee of the Government of Pakistan
- Color scanned copies of valid CNIC or NICOP or Smart CNIC or NICOP both sides
- Applicant must provide No-Objection Certificate (NOC) in case he/ she is working as Government Officer/ Official, Armed forces Officers/ or employee of employee of Semi Government/ Autonomous Bodies/ Corporation. The NOC with be subject to confirmation/ verification by the department concerned.
- Color scanned copies of existing Passport (First two pages and one random page asked by system).
- Color scanned copy of Valid Visa/ Aqama/ Residence Permit/Asylum card/ Other Nationality Passport.

Machine Readable Passport application process starts from 07:00 am to 1:00 pm (Sunday to Thursday).
Yes, you can get 72 pages and 100 pages Passport as well.
Yes, you will be facilitated before 03:00 pm.
Yes, you can get your Passport via Aramex in Tabuk or any other city of the Kingdom.
Firstly, we will process the fees and capture photo, biometric/finger prints, data entry and submit the application at decision counter.

Yes, you can renew Machine Readable Passport through website www.onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk. Please note that online service does not allow processing of passport in New, Modification and Lost Passport categories.
